I find that filmakers who I onced loved like Tarrantino, the Coen Brothers and Laars Van Trier all end up venturing out into the experimental and conceptual. That would be fine if you like that but I don't. Perhaps it's the evolution of an artist to break new ground but unfortunately I find that rather than pursuing their signature style they meandor into paradoxically avenues already much pursued. This has even happened to perhaps my favorite director Jim Jarmusch.
